Dakesis are a five piece prog-power band from Birmingham, UK. Mixing European symphonic and power metal influences with homegrown classic rock and NWOBHM, a heavy dose of tongue-in-cheek cheese and a fair dash of modern prog, Dakesis have carved a unique niche in the UK live music scene with their fresh and modern take on a classic sound.

Formed by frontman Wayne in 2008, Dakesis finalized their current line-up in April 2009. Since then they have combined a heavy gigging schedule with constant new material, and now finally they are about to enter the studio to begin recording their long awaited debut E.P "Trial by Fire".

The band have earned themselves much critical acclaim, both from press and fans, and are notorious for their riotous live performances.

A set can take you anywhere from the heartbreaking ballad "Broken" to the sing-a-long Viking epic "Valhalla" via storming neo-classical breakdowns, head banging, fist-pumping, stage diving, guitar throwing, stage tricks a plenty and face melting solos, all the way to the dark, brooding and very heavy "Into the Light".

Anything can happen at a Dakesis gig...you have been warned!
