What started out as a few school mates getting together in the music room for a bit of fun during lunchtimes at school, has, five years on, turned out to be a successful rock band called Reeper. The band started out playing rock covers at school concerts, but they picked up a loyal following, and with the help of ex Kursaal Flyer Vic Collins, began to appear regularly at the Riga Music Bar in Southend. They became the only band ever to hold down a once a month appearance at the busy Riga Bar for a whole year. Reeper now write their own material, and have completed their first full studio album 'Turn Out The Light' which showcases their creative writing and playing talents. Feedback so far has been extremely positive, with numerous sales resulting from very little marketing. Reeper classes their original work as 'retro rock' - songs with great tunes and memorable hooks. Their material is highly original and stands apart from the music produced by so many of the new bands on the music scene today. The band are now a tight, well rehearsed and fully fledged professional rock outfit, playing their material to enthusiastic audiences at festivals, pubs and clubs all over Essex and beyond.
