About what is life for? have been together since March 2007. They are a four piece alternative rock band from the south coast of England. They take diverse influences from bands such as Incubus, System of a Down, Green Day, Foo Fighters and many more.

Unable to be put into any specific genre, what is life for? have been described as “Incubus jamming with the Chillis whilst the Foo Fighters and Billy Talent have noisy sex in the corner!” (DJ Wil Chump.....dj of the year 2007).

what is life for? have shared the stage with many bands across the country and 2009 has been a very busy year with planning for a mini tour underway for 2010.

Initially managed by themselves, they now have on board Mark Tutton, who by his own admission is an “ageing punk rocker with a passion for music”. Mark has taken over a lot of the day to day management and promotional issues leaving the band free to write and record their material.
