We are (Never mind the) Stars. A 5 piece band from Holland.
Our dream is to conquer the UK like no band from Amsterdam has since 2 Unlimited.
Our last 2 singles have been on more than a hundred regional UK radiostations, and we have done interviews with over 20 uni-radio stations, where our debut album was dubbed “album of the week/month” on many occasion.
Our new single is a duet with chart topping Sam Obernik, (from Tim de Luxe’s “just wont do” fame) and has been creating a buzz in the Netherlands as well as the BBC Radio offices...
It's taken from our second album "death of hype" which was lovingly recieved by Dutch press.
We love playing, and our 45-60 min set consists of our own DamPop material. A cross between indie funk pop rock electro, but mainly rooted in pop, with a shot of British humor thrown in. (Founder, songwriter and lead vocalist is in fact a born Brit)
We hope to organize a small tour of the UK for Jan 2012, (and beyond)
