Venues & Bands is a Community for everything Live Music. You will find everything from Bands, Live Music Venues, Artist Managers, Record Labels & Event Promoters to all kinds of Music Resources & Companies. If you are any of these you can join Venues & Bands & build a profile. We provide individual profiles for everyone tailored to suit you. Having everyone all on one site then allows us to create a variety of interaction between members.

Is Venues & Bands FREE?
Yes, Completely. Bands, Venues, Managers, Labels, Event Promoters & Music Resources Can all Join for Free.

Who Can Join Venues & Bands?
Any Signed or Unsigned Band that is looking for Gigs in the UK.

I Want To Find Gigs Can Venues & Bands Help?
Yes. If you are looking for Gigs in the UK add a profile to Venues & Bands. We have 1000's of visitors a day looking for Live Bands.

Does Venues & Bands Arrange Gigs For Bands?
No. Venues & Bands simply provides tools to help bands find gigs. You need to be pro-active if you’re serious about finding gigs. If you build a good profile there is a good chance that someone will contact you, but the best way is to search for suitable venues & enquire about a Gig. You can search for venues in a variety of ways on Venues & Bands including the MAP SEARCH, & we have enough venues to keep you busy for a very long time.

Why Do I Have To Add Music To My Band Profile?
All Bands need to Add Music to their profile, even if it's just a few clips. No matter how good your band is, if a Venue or Event Organizer can't hear what your band sounds like they are not going to hire you. If your profile doesn't have music it’s very frustrating for users who have taken the time to view your profile & for this reason we remove all profiles that don't. Venues & Bands has no authority over your music (in any way) and we have designed the site so your music is not downloadable, making it safe to add to the site.

Venues & Bands has one of the most original ways to find bands & that is by listening to them first using our Music Juke Box. When you search for bands you can add as many tracks to the Juke Box as you like and then visit a bands profile when you hear something you like. Over 20,000 music tracks are listened to each & every month on Venues & Bands and virtually all of the bands that find gigs on V&B our found this way.

How Do I Add Music To My Profile?
To add music to your profile simply login & select the 'Add Music To Your Profile' link on the right hand side. Music Tracks need to be in MP3 format, below 6Mb & uploaded one at a time.

How Do I Crop My Photos To The Correct Size?
Photos do have to be cropped or shaped to the correct size before you upload them or they will be stretched. If you do not have Photoshop or any other photo editing software we recommend using www.Picnik.com which is a free tool to help you do this. Venues & Bands is not connected with Picnik in anyway but it's the only tool that we can find that is free to use.

I Have A Live Music Venue Outside The UK, Can I Join?
Unfortunately not at this time. Although we have plans to make Venues & Bands a Global site only UK Venues are permitted at this time.

I've Forgotten My Password, Help?
This happens all the time so don't worry about it. If you can remember your Username & the Email you joined with you can GO HERE. If you cant simply contact us & we will send you your login details.

Why Has My Profile Been Deleted?
This could have been for a number of reasons. In order to keep the site informative & to avoid our visitors getting fed up with profiles that either don't have enough information or in some circumstances are unable to contact members on Venues & Bands, we periodically removes profiles that we find to be out of date or simply uninformative. Usual suspects are profiles with no music or who have an out of date email address. If visitors can't contact you or listen to your music we feel there is little point in you being on the site & it just ruins the service for the members that do take pride in their profiles.

Yes, as long as you adhere to the rules & keep your profile up to date.

How Can I Get Featured On The Front Page?
Most of the Bands & Venues that get a feature on the front page are new, which have build a good profile that week. But if you have recently updated your profile and think you should be listed get in touch. We like to promote bands that take care of their profiles, it's as simple as that.

How Does The 5 Star Rating Work?
The 5 star rating on Venuesandbands.com is determined by how much information a band or venue has provided about themselves. The more information a band or venue provides in their profile, the higher their star rating will become.

Why Do You Rate Venues & Bands This Way?
Firstly, the star rating allows anyone who searches for members on Venues & Bands to quickly understand from the search results how much information they can expect to find before viewing a profile, & it is also designed to encourage members to detail as much information about themselves as they can. This helps to keep the site informative & the reward for taking time constructing your profile is a higher star rating.

On top of this, because V&B deals with both signed and unsigned bands we prefer to create a level plain where the music does the talking. Giving a high rating to a band just because they are signed would be unfair.

Venuesandbands.com tries very hard to make sure that the visitors and users who view information about Venues & Bands are not disappointed or left endlessly trawling through incomplete profiles, which would become tedious & boring.

Members that take their time to build an impressive profile are also far more likely to get a feature on the front page of Venues & Bands & find Gigs.

How Does The Juke Box Work?
The Music Jukebox enables you to search for bands in a variety of different ways, such as local bands or bands that would like a gig in your area, and then listen to their music first before you visit their profile. You can add as many tracks to your player as you like, then once you hear something you like you can then view the bands profile for more information.

How To Use The V&B Music Jukebox:

Step 1: Search for bands using the wide variety of options available to obtain the most suitable results.

Step 2: View the results & double click the 'add to player' button of the bands that look like a possibility.

Step 3: ONLY Minimize the main window as it will be needed to find a band when you hear something you like.

Step 4: When you hear something you like, select the icon on the player & it will bring up the profile of the band.

You can also remove bands from your list by selecting the option when the bands music is playing.
