Empty Playground is a fresh, independently produced, bi-monthly music magazine, based in Essex. Focusing on all things Rock and Metal, from the grass roots acts to stadium filling legends, no band is too big or too small. Empty Playground aims to help bring new and underground bands to the average fan of alternative music with aspirations to become renowned for having its finger on the pulse.

Throughout the magazine, each issue, we bring you interviews of some great new and old bands; all the latest reviews on albums, singles, zines, gigs, demos and new bands; along with some great features on a huge variety of topics. Each issue is also accompanied by a covermount CD featuring mainly up-and-coming bands but mixed in with some metal legends!

We have so far released 5 issues, each one growing and developing on the one before. We are currently, however, on a break whilst we prepare for the release of issue 6 whilst we raise funds and get ideas together. We plan to release our sixth issue in February 2008 and we will be working towards it up until it's release. We're always looking for: writers, reviewers, bands, designers, photographers and anyone else who would like to contribute in any way.
